Information-theoretic Limits for Community Detection in Network Models
نویسندگان
چکیده
We analyze the information-theoretic limits for the recovery of node labels in several network models, including the stochastic block model, as well as the latent space model. For the stochastic block model, the non-recoverability condition depends on the probabilities of having edges inside a community, and between different communities. For the latent space model, the non-recoverability condition depends on the dimension of the latent space, and how far and spread are the communities in the latent space. We also extend our analysis to dynamic models in which edges not only depend on their endpoints, but also on previously generated edges.

Overlapping Community Detection in Social Networks Based on Stochastic Simulation
Community detection is a task of fundamental importance in social network analysis. Community structures enable us to discover the hidden interactions among the network entities and summarize the network information that can be applied in many applied domains such as bioinformatics, finance, e-commerce and forensic science. There exist a variety of methods for community detection based on diffe...
متن کاملAn Optimized Firefly Algorithm based on Cellular Learning Automata for Community Detection in Social Networks
The structure of the community is one of the important features of social networks. A community is a sub graph which nodes have a lot of connections to nodes of inside the community and have very few connections to nodes of outside the community. The objective of community detection is to separate groups or communities that are linked more closely. In fact, community detection is the clustering...

Deep understanding of molecular biology has allowed emergence of new technologies like DNA decryption. On the other hand, advancements of molecular biology have made manipulation of genetic systems simpler than ever; this promises extraordinary progress in biological, medical and biotechnological applications. This is not an unrealistic goal since genes which are regulated by gene regulatory ...
متن کاملCommunity detection and stochastic block models: recent developments
The stochastic block model (SBM) is a random graph model with planted clusters. It is widely employed as a canonical model to study clustering and community detection, and provides generally a fertile ground to study the statistical and computational tradeoffs that arise in network and data sciences. This note surveys the recent developments that establish the fundamental limits for community d...

The proposed framework applies two game theoretic models for economic deployment of intrusion detection system (IDS). The first scheme models and analyzes the interaction behaviors of between an attacker and intrusion detection agent within a non-cooperative game, and then the security risk value is derived from the mixed strategy Nash equilibrium. The second scheme uses the security risk value...
